Travelling by Road
Rosscarbery is located in West Cork approximately 67km (41miles) south of Cork City. Journey time is approx 1 hour.

 

Tunnel (Southbound). Continue along the South Ring Road following signs for West Cork and the N71. Dublin city journey time is approx 4hour 25minutes. Distance 320km or 200miles. Waterford journey time is approx 2hours 40minutes. Distance 186km or 116miles.

 

Travelling from Limerick N20 you will enter Cork via Blackpool, follow signs for the North Ring road until you see signs for South Ring Road West and the N71 via the Jack Lynch Tunnel. Journey time is approx 2hours 40 minutes. Distance 166km or 103miles.Travelling from Killarney N71 follow signs for N71 and Glengarriff, Bantry, Skibbereen and Rosscarbery. Journey time is approx 2hour 12minutes. Distance 128km or 80miles.

 

Travelling by Air

Cork airport is the nearest airport and is approx. 50 minutes drive from Rosscarbery. On exiting the airport follow signs for South Ring Road West N71. Flights land daily from other airports within Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. See www.corkairport.ie for more. Car rental is also easily arranged through car rental desks located in the airport with all the major car rental companies.

 

Travelling by Sea

This is ideal for those who wish to use their own car; there is a choice of 3 ports of arrival. The closest port of arrival is Ringaskiddy which is just outside Cork City. Ringaskiddy serves Swansea in Wales and Le Havre, Cherbourg, Roscoff and St. Malo in France. Next Rosslare which is located in the south-east corner of Ireland is suitable for those who prefer a shorter sea journey. From here Fishguard in Wales is just 90 minutes away by Sea Lynx. Standard Ferries serve Fishguard and Pembroke in Wales, and Cherbourg and Roscoff in France. Finally Dun Laoghaire just outside Dublin links with Holyhead in North Wales for visitors coming from the Midlands and Northern England.

 

Travelling by Rail

Cork train station, Kent Station, is located 5minutes walk from Cork City centre and Cork Bus Station. Trains arrive from Dublin on an hourly basis.Travelling by BusSee www.buseireann.ie for timetable and tickets. Buses stop in Rosscarbery daily from Cork City.
